Duties and Responsibilities

• To operate a variety of machines including over head cranes, tube punch machines in order to produce a range of various pre galvanised fencing posts.

• Stack and band the products into specified quantities.

• Observe machine operations and adjust accordingly.

• Completion of all production documentation.

• Follow all operating instructions to ensure machine runs consistently.

Skills, Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

• Experience of working with Steel in a manufacturing Environment.
• Capable of reading and understanding Engineering drawings.
• Good numeracy and literacy Skills.
• Ability to always remain professional.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High Attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Self-Motivator, ability to demonstrate initiative.
• Ability to plan, Organise and Prioritise , and work to tight deadlines.
• Flexible approach to working hours, as some additional hours and weekend work may be required
• Competent in using own initiative
• Have a general understanding of gates & railings
• Must be able to read and understand simple auto cad drawings
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations
• Work within a small close team
• Competent of working on own when required
• A general understanding of workshop machines i.e saws / drills / metal work punch & crop
• Cutting / drilling / prep to completion ready for fabrication
• Excellent house keeping

Salary: between £12.50-£13.50 per hour

Hours: 45 hours per week

Location: Kiln Way, Swadlincote, DE11 8ED
