Job description

iO Associates seeks an 3rd Line Network Support Engineer to work with our client in Bracknell Area. They are a prominent global entity in the information and communications technology solutions and services sector.

Your responsibilities will include collaborating with the team to maintain on-premises networks supporting business-as-usual (BAU) activities.

Job Title: 3rd Line Network Support Engineer

Location: Bracknell, UK

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £40k per annum

This position would be office based.

Active Security Clearance/ Clearable required.

Required:

• Proficiency in Routing & Switching (L2 / L3), including WAN, LAN, and SDWAN
• Knowledge of Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS)
• Firewall Management (policies/rules/security zones)
• Familiarity with Encryption methods (IPSec, SSL, TLS, DTLS) and VPN configuration
• Router/Switch CLI expertise
• Hardware and Infrastructure experience (switches, routers, etc.)
• Ability to create Network diagrams, HLD, LLD, and formal work instructions.
• Proficiency in DNS/DHCP, Virtualization, automation, and basic scripting

Desired requirements:

• Include CCNA, CompTIA Network+, and JNCIA.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct technical support for services.
• Maintaining support quality across BAU activities.
• Execute system configuration changes and upgrades and,
• Coordinate with third parties and internal.
