The Role: Quality Engineer

You will begin the contract working in the Quality Assurance Department as part of the team controlling and developing the quality management systems under the guidance of the Quality Manager.

The role will involve facilitating and managing activities related to all LMT production units which could include Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA), Non-Conformance Management/concessions, product release to Product Specifications, maintaining calibration tools and Internal Auditing. You will complete or assign actions and ensure associated documentation is up to date as directed by the Quality Manager.

You will have a good working knowledge of product release or Quality Management in SAP, or similar ERP system. It is beneficial to have working knowledge of inspection plans, control plans and FMEA methodologies. Preferably, you will have Internal Auditor experience in ISO9001:2015 or IATF16949:2016 or ISO13485:2015 or EN91000 REV D and have experience of QA Departments.

Other tasks will be allocated, as required, from across the Quality and Compliance Team that will be part of the continuing development and improvement of the Quality Initiatives across all arenas. For instance, you may be involved maintaining the QMS document libraries. T he role will also require working closely with the Operations department.

You may perform or support audits, ensuring Quality and Compliance of external suppliers to the global business. Any activities from these audits will be tracked in the CAPA database and you will be responsible for their close out to schedule.

Day to day activities will include managing company tracking databases, generating periodic reports, coordinating and entering data into Microsoft packages.

You will be employed on a permanent contract working from our site in Swinton, Greater Manchester, working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday with flexibility to meet business need.  You will demonstrate excellent teamwork and accountability, influencing colleagues in other departments.
