Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Director to join an established manufacturing business based in Colchester.
Reporting directly to the managing director you will be responsible for the company’s long term financial stability and growth, with the support of the finance team.
Responsibilities include:
- To be an active member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and development
- Producing monthly management accounts and supporting commentary to present to the board
- Responsible for budgeting, reporting and forecasting
- Developing policies, systems and processes
- To be responsible for managing cash for the business including regular cashflow forecasting and reporting
- To oversee product costing and relevant information
- Manage, motivate and develop the finance team
- Develop and maintain good relationships with external advisors as required
- Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the company meets its financial and legal obligations
Key Skills:
- Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA with relevant experience working as a Finance Director
- Comfortable and proficient in managing and supervising a team
- The ability to influence and lead day to day
- A continuous improvement outlook and focus
