Job description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Area Project Manager to join their team.
The Assistant Area Project Manager will play a vital role in supporting the Area Project Manager in effectively managing and delivering all area work packages and systems related to the BEP project.
This role requires strong coordination skills to engage with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and upholding high-quality standards throughout all project phases.
Rate: £63 an hour - PAYE
End Date of Work: March 2025 (1 year freelance)
Location: 2 days in Warrington office and 3 days at Sellafield Site
The Box Encapsulation Plant project is one of the most important construction projects at the Sellafield Site, playing a crucial role in Sellafield’s 100-year clean-up program by encapsulating nuclear waste for safe storage.
Responsibilities include:
~Assisting in managing multi-discipline work packages through all project phases,
~Ensuring accurate and timely reporting, meeting key project milestones, assuming accountability for allocated work packages,
~Managing interfaces with relevant departments and stakeholders.
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
~Experience managing packages of work on EPCC projects in a highly regulated industry
~Proven track record of successfully working on NEC3 projects
~Experience in Earned Value Management
~Ability to collate information for and produce detailed project Reports
~Demonstrated abilities in working as part of a collaborative team in a multi-discipline environment
~Experience in CS&A, Mechanical, and CE&I installation activities
~Experience within the nuclear sector
~Preferable to hold a Degree/Diploma in Project ~Management/Engineering discipline with experience in Project Controls/Delivery
~Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance
