Working as a Children's Senior Social Worker, you will be undertaking professional and comprehensive caseworks for a complex caseload of children and young people
Responsibilities include, but are not limited too:
- Working within West Berkshire policies, procedures and good practice guidelines in order to meet the needs of the children and families allocated.
- Working with children and young people, families, carers and communities to help them make informed decisions.
- Undertaking specialist assessments, for your and other workers’ cases, for court proceedings, including parenting and kinship assessments.
- Identifying own individual learning needs in line with the requirements of the Professional Capabilities Framework.
- Participating in planning/reviewing the cases of children in care, child protection and support fostering/adoption arrangements.
Requirements:
- Social Work Degree.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Evidence of commitment to Continued Professional Development in line with standards set by Social Work England.
- Experience of identifying the needs of children and young people and establishing targeted planning to meet their needs.
- Extensive knowledge of social work practices and processes, including child protection, children in care, and child in need.
