Due to an internal promotion, they are now recruiting a Senior Ground System Engineer to play a key role in the ground segment team. You will be play a part in the full development process of the ground segment from concept to maintenance. You will also be the interface between the Mission and Systems teams to ensure operations run smoothly in the control centre.

We are looking for someone with experience working on a ground segment. You will understand the various components and systems involved and how they interact with each other.
It is important that you are a systems thinker and can consider the trade-offs when changing one component or system (for example the mission control system or the mission planning system) and how it will impact the other.
If you have a demonstrated experience in the majority of the below areas, I want to hear from you:
- Participating in/leading the development of ground systems including Mission Control System, Mission Planning System, Ground Stations Interface System
- Deriving requirements for the ground segment in general and for specific components
- Interfacing with the external suppliers' teams acting as a Product Owner or Technical Officer and providing support to the development team during the ground segment development phase
- Following the Agile (SCRUM) methodology to ensure implementation of the requirements and maintaining the schedule
- Producing and maintaining project documentation to good standard including requirements, verification and validation plan, test procedures, test reports, etc.
- Performing verification & validation of the systems with other team members while ensuring requirements are met, including systems tests and simulation campaigns.
- Interfacing with the Mission Operations team and providing support / training on the ground systems
- Performing maintenance of the ground systems while being the interfacing point between the operations team and the developers to resolve technical issues
- Maintaining (troubleshooting) ground segment components to support Satellite Operations
