About the Role
Suffolk Primary Care has an opportunity for a training & education coordinator to join our busy team, on a part-time basis for 25 hours per week, to develop the workforce, improving the quality of our employment offer, benefiting recruitment and retention.
You will be helping to coordinate education and training provision across SPC including professional education, training activities, and training programmes, as well continuing professional development for the entire workforce.
You will be supporting a broad range of training programmes and educational activities, including the identification of training opportunities, training of trainers and coordination of projects to assess and or improve education quality and outcomes.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting the organisation on education and training requirements & provision, including the planning, delivery and evaluation of education and training activities, training programmes, and continuing professional development for the workforce.
- Working alongside the Suffolk & North East Essex (SNEE) Training Hub and educational supervisors in the planning of education, learning and development.
- Supporting the development and delivery of an organisation wide training needs analysis.
- Supporting work to maintain accreditation to become a recognised Learning Organisation.
- Building key relationships with support educators i.e. GP trainers, ACP roadmap supervisors, training hub ambassadors.
- Supporting a broad range of training programmes and educational activities to assess and/or help improve education.
- Supporting the recording and collation of data to evidence educational governance and quality assurance.
- Administratively supporting the management of online mandatory training platforms.
- Playing a key role in helping to develop with appropriate colleagues policies, protocols and procedures for education and training.
- Developing strong relationships with all SPC sites, supporting the planning and delivery of training for all staff.
- Helping design and expand training and development programmes based on the needs of the organisation.
- Supporting the evaluation of training and development programmes to ensure continuous improvement.
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussion with stakeholders.
- Attending internal and external meetings representing the organisation in relation to education and training.
- Working with the manager, central and site managers as well as HR to scope employment potential in line with training & education opportunities.

Essential:
- A good standard of education GCSEs grade A-C or equivalent in English & Maths
- A minimum of 1 year experience in an administrative role.
- Experience of managing and prioritising own workload.
- Proven experience of working autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
- Excellent IT skills – including the use of Office and Outlook.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Keen interest in training & education.
Desirable skills:
- Primary care/NHS experience.
- Experience of working in an HR/learning & development function.
- Setting up and maintaining systems and processes.
- Project management experience.
