Do you have game design experience in projects with MOBA elements, and are you seeking a new remote job? Our client is looking for a Lead Game Designer to direct the design of an action MOBA, and the remote role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.
As a Lead Game Designer, you will work with MOBA mechanics, Live Ops, and free-to-play models that shape the game's direction. You will guide a skilled team, merging creativity with analytics to craft a compelling and profitable gaming experience.
In your first few weeks in this Lead Game Designer role, you can expect to:
- Oversee the game design team, providing direction, inspiration and mentorship
- Design and iterate on core game mechanics to deepen player engagement and retention
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Live Ops strategies that align with user expectations and business goals
- Utilise analytics and player feedback to inform design decisions and ensure a data-driven approach to gameplay tuning and balance.
To apply for this Lead Game Designer role, you will need a minimum of 2 years in a game design leadership role, extensive game design experience in projects with MOBA elements, or a seasoned MOBA player with deep insights into the genre. You will also require the following:
- A background in Live Ops and free-to-play economies, with a portfolio that includes commercially successful titles
- Good understanding of the Unreal Engine, with an emphasis on multiplayer development
- A good analytical approach to game metrics and player data to drive decision-making
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities,
