Job description
Home-working but with regular attendance at central office
£46,250 FTE pro rata 32 hours (flexible) Pact is looking for an outstanding Senior Manager to grow our major gifts. If you have a keen interest in the Criminal Justice System and are passionate about supporting people affected by imprisonment, we would love to hear from you. Pact is an inclusive and influential charity that has changed people’s lives for 125 years. We were founded by the Catholic community, and we work with people of all faiths and none, to reduce reoffending, support families, and to enable people to live good lives. We have a largely Catholic supporter base and enjoy warm and committed relationships with a wide range of Catholic and other Christian stakeholders. We are investing in this new post to develop major gifts and legacies from people motivated by faith, and from others who share our vision and ambition. You’ll have a successful track record in major donor and/or legacy giving and be keen to take on responsibility for developing strategy and growing your own portfolio of major and mid-level donors. It is not a requirement of the role that you are Catholic. You’ll be a skilled and eloquent communicator comfortable talking to and writing for a wide range of people concerned with our cause. You will work with our newly appointed Head of Faith in Action and with the Head of Fundraising and be part of a supportive Fundraising Team at Pact. About Pact: Pact is a highly respected independent charity which works across England and Wales to develop and deliver a range of innovative services, providing practical and emotional support to prisoners’ children and families, to prisoners, and to former prisoners. We believe in the unique dignity of every human being. We are an inclusive, welcoming organisation, with a diverse workforce of people who share our core values. We welcome applications from people from all sectors of our diverse communities and all backgrounds, including ex-offenders (appointment to post is subject to a risk assessment). Deadline for applications : Midnight Sunday 31st March 2024 Potential Interview Dates : 9th and 10th April 2024 How to apply: Please apply with your CV and a supporting statement (max 2 pages) outlining specifically how you meet the criteria outlined in the person specification. We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible. Other information: Pact is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes all applications including those with a criminal conviction (appointment to post is subject to a risk assessment). This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period, verification of identity and proven right to work in the UK, satisfactory references from previous employers covering a 5-year period, declaration of any unspent criminal convictions (and where appropriate a satisfactory risk assessment), and a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
