We are looking for a Refurbishment Robot Technician to join our Service team in our Milton Keynes hub and play an essential part in our mission to provide the world with affordable and environment-friendly deliveries. As a Refurbishment Robot Technician, you will directly impact the efficiency and functionality of our robotic systems.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with an initial 12-month contract.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Testing, Repairing, and Refurbishing : Identifying faults, repairing faulty components, and refurbishing electronic and mechanical equipment
- Refurbishing Mechanical Components: Refurbishing mechanical components of robots to maintain optimal functionality
- Conducting Maintenance and Upgrades : Conducting maintenance activities and upgrades on robots and chargers
- Ensuring Quality Control: Ensuring refurbished equipment meets quality standards through thorough testing and inspections
- Maintaining Record Keeping: Keeping accurate records of repairs, replacements, and equipment conditions.
- Robot Repairs : Occasionally assisting the service team with robot repairs
- Following Safety Protocols : Adhering to strict safety protocols when working with electronic or mechanical equipment
- Warehouse Management : Maintaining a hub-based warehouse by conducting regular inventories

What we hope you’ll bring to the table:
- Passion for robots and innovative technologies
- Basic knowledge of Unix, SSH/Linux systems, CLI tools, and scripting
- Experience in roles such as mechanics, service engineer/technician
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Ability to multitask and collaborate with professionals from various teams
- Skill in identifying and explaining problems in a simple and clear manner
- Capability to work independently on problem-solving tasks
- Keen attention to detail
- Positive attitude and a collaborative mindset
- Effective communication skills
- Strong work ethic, including managing backlogs and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
