Assess, sets goals, provides treatment and progresses own patient caseload which contains patients with complex and specialist needs. Demonstrates advanced clinical specialist skills in order to provide the highest standard of evidence based, patient centred care Leads in specialist area; contributes to development of specialist services and relevant policies helping implement policy changes and monitoring standards of clinical practice. Supervises, teaches and evaluates students and other staff working in own specialist area. Leads clinical audits and may participate in research.
