We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an expanding team as the company scales.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – The role and duties include:

• Managing and developing the mechanical design team.
• Working closely with the Engineering Manager to develop mechanical systems and processes.
• Maintaining a knowledge of updates to and new mechanical engineering standards.
• Creating 3D part and assembly models using SolidWorks.
• Creating, reviewing, and approving engineering drawings for manufacture and assembly.
• Creating engineering calculations to support design.
• Managing model and drawing configurations with change control processes.
• Creating and maintaining bills of materials.
• Continuous improvement of the design and development procedures.
• Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Communicating project updates and latest challenges to engineering colleagues.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – skills/experience desired:

• Mechanical Design 3+ years’ experience
• Working proficiency of Solidworks
• Experience of designing high integrity parts and assemblies for specialist applications
• Experience of managing complex specifications within an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment
