Our client is a constantly evolving company that started in 2009. In the last 15 years, they have grown from strength to strength and are looking for a Head of Design to join their friendly and welcoming team. They have completed small works and major works on projects ranging from residential building refurbishments to large sporting sites and retail complexes.

The role:

Seek to minimise the cost and risk of a construction project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required legal standards and quality.

Prepare forecasts, estimates and costs of the work when the project is in progress, keep track of variations to the contract that may affect costs/time and create reports to show profitability.

Be involved in every stage of the project from pre-construction to final account from a commercial aspect.

Client engagement, attend meetings, produce and agree valuations and cash flows when required. Identify and price variations and agree with client QS.

Procure sub-contractors, negotiate price, produce order, management of SC from first contact to final account including payments and variations, production and agreement of final account.
