Job description
Live-in Introduced Carer needed for placement in Devon from 22/04/2024 – 20/05/24. Ref 97272
- Care for single female.
- Client has vascular dementia, had a stroke some years ago followed by a series of TIA’s since and is prone to UTIs.
- She has a very poor short-term memory and gets anxious if left alone too long. She is sleeping increasingly during the day and has difficulty orientating at nights. She has a permanent deterioration of eyesight in her left eye.
- She needs help with all personal care and needs help getting to and from the toilet and cleaning after (although she is not incontinent).
- She can mobilise about 5m with a walking frame and there is a manual wheelchair.
- There is a night carer every night.
- Dementia experience is required.
- Driving – Yes, there is an automatic car.
- Pets – Dog.
Free board & accommodation whilst on assignment. Night call charge & negotiated travel expenses.
