The Opportunity

We are excited to invite applications for a unique strategic opportunity to join Defaqto as Consumer Ratings Product Manager. This role will be responsible for all of Defaqto's ratings products within the General Insurance and Banking sector. Every year, we support over 50 million financial decisions with a combined value exceeding £80 billion. Your contributions will directly influence and shape the financial landscape.

Our strategic growth plans include becoming the expert ratings brand most commonly referenced by consumers as having a positive influence on the financial products that they purchase.

The Role

The role will have four key areas of responsibility: Product Strategy, Stakeholder Engagement, Product Development and Pricing. Here are some highlights:

You will develop a clear and compelling product vision and strategy, which aligns with Defaqto's overall mission, goals and financial plans. As part of this you will identify emerging trends, opportunities and product enhancements and will collaborate with cross functional teams across our business presenting product updates, strategies and performance reports to the different stakeholder groups.

Taking a lead in the product development process, from concept to launch, you will ensure delivery of high-quality products that meet market and customer needs, at scale. Ensuring all products and services comply with relevant industry regulations, you will also be working with relevant internal and external partners to bring products to market. Central to your success, you will continually evaluate the product portfolio to determine how to optimise growth plans, both for revenue and profit.

As you develop and implement product pricing strategies across the growing portfolio of products, you will need to analyse market trends, customer preferences and cost structures to set optimal pricing for each product offering.

The top 3 essential technical requirements that we are looking for:

1. Proven track record in product development combined with extensive experience in the ratings and / or data industry, operating in a product management capacity

2. Demonstrated success in developing and launching relevant products, ideally within financial services

3. In-depth understanding of the UK retail, investment, insurance, financial services and / or financial advice markets
