Job Title: Projects Cost & Document Controller
Location: Hammersmith, London.

Our London-based Projects team seeks to secure projects control and cost engineering expertise from an experienced contractor who holds robust project management experience with the ability to plan and manage project budgets, analyse cost variances, ensure optimal resource allocation, and deliver projects on time as well as within budget.
In this capacity you will be allocated a specific project to support with the following key deliverables:
Deliverables:
- Provide technical input for monthly cost reports by interpretating the cost data within SAP for external charges and internal cost allocations.
- Raise concerns regarding projects costs to the Group Engineering Manager for any potential cost issues including forecasted overspent or internal cost allocation inconsistencies.
- Participate in the review of the cost reports for other projects managed by the subsidiaries as an external expert and provide detailed recommendations for areas to improve to Group Engineering Manager.
- Provide specialised cost engineering expertise in ensuring final approved documentations are available and accurate as per design requirements.
- Technical review of contractors’ deliverables and document submissions status and produce document issuance as well as approval progress reports to the Group Engineering Manager.
- Provide detailed cost estimates for the allocated projects to support the project managers to prepare their Approval for Expenditure of their individual projects.
- Carry out analysis of cost data and challenge the internal cost allocations for internal resources daily rate, domestic travel and logistic costs as an external expert for these subjects based on technical expertise to identify gaps for clarities and benchmark with previous projects cost database.
- Produce company-wide cost database based on the allocated projects and past project experience in Gabon to ensure that more reasonable and accurate cost estimates can be built for future projects.
- Provide input into the development of detailed project development schedules for the allocated projects with the recommendations from the field supervisions and project managers and raise concerns to Group Engineering Manager for any potential project delays.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas project management is required.
- Proficient in SAP applications for cost controlling, material requisition and invoice management.
- Robust understanding of engineering principles, document controls and project planning.
- Highly analytical and attentive to details.
- Demonstrable capabilities to accurately manage a large volume of information/documents.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, especially in the preparation of reports.
This is a contract opportunity offered subject to IR35 compliance checks.
