Job description
A well-qualified, motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of PE is required for September 2024 for a full-time, permanent position.
Our innovative PE Department is made up of ten members of staff. The Department runs very successful examination courses in GCSE, Cambridge National, A Level, and BTEC, along with a huge extra-curricular programme and multiple teams. The PE Department has also been awarded the GOLD Quality mark by the Youth Sports Trust for its PE and school sport provision. George Abbot has a reputation for excellence in sport, and our students are very committed to sporting success.
All applicants must demonstrate a passion for the subject with the ability to inspire a love of learning and provide a strong commitment to extra-curricular clubs. The ability to offer a specialism in Netball is essential. We particularly welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECT) to join our highly experienced and expert team.

George Abbot School is an 11–18 mixed comprehensive with 2,000 students situated on the north side of Guildford. We are located within easy reach of the town, the A3 and London Road railway station.
