Job description
A Commercial Financial Analyst is required for a mid-sized FMCG business. The role requires an individual with a strong sense of responsibility, an excellent understanding of commercial finance and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance.

This is an established, mid sized firm in the FMCG industry based in Surrey, they have a reputation for delivering quality consumer goods and maintaining a strong market presence.
Description
1. Manage all areas of budgeting - annual financial planning, twice yearly forecasts updates, highlighting/managing risks and opportunities. Preparation of budgeting packs.
2. To produce sales and profit and loss reports for brand and customers - sales reporting, annual budget summaries, cost reporting.
3. Financial Analysis - to provide a clear understanding of the key drivers of sales, gross margin and profitability. Providing recommendations for profit improvement.
4. Financial Control - monitoring/control of marketing investment levels in line with contractual spend limits/agreed overinvestment levels.
5. Actively participate in review meetings with Marketing and Sales - budget/forecast update meetings, monthly performance review meetings and cost control meetings.
6. To provide cover for all other brands in the portfolio.
7. To provide input/support for the development of processes and systems to deliver improvements and cost efficiencies.
Profile
Knowledge and Skills
· Experience of managing and reporting against budgets/forecast updates
· Commercial Financial Analysis experience (especially Brands & Customer P&L's)
· Advanced working knowledge of Excel
· FMCG/Consumer goods industry experience
· Fully qualified
