Bid Writer/Proposals Manager
The Bid Writer / Proposal Manager will co-ordinate and produce the proposal (RFI, PPQ, ITT, RFP etc.) response whilst assembling a proposal team that has the skills to prepare and submit a winning proposal from within the business.
A proven ability in planning, producing, and delivering compliant proposals within a complex business environment is essential. The Proposal Manager will be experienced in scheduling and running proposal kick-off meetings, leading storyboarding sessions, facilitating key review meetings / final document review, co-ordinating proposal governance / sign off, document production, and delivery of the completed proposal.
Ideally, you’ll have experience of designing, managing, and updating a Content Library or Proposal Automation Solution. This critical role will report into the Executive Director for Corporate services, but work very closely and alongside the Divisional Directors within the division.
Duties include:-
- Manage the end-to-end bid process.
- Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes.
- Coordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery.
- Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from key stakeholders, typically engaging with sales, marketing, product teams, finance, commercial, legal and project management / delivery.
- Prepare and review the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all products / services are included in the final price to the customer.
- Contributing to the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation (such as providing guidance around the executive summary).
- Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines.
- Ensure on-time submission of compliant and commercially sound bids.
- Document template management in line with company branding.
- Strong time management / prioritisation skills.
- Strong written English language skills.
