How to become a dentist in the UK?

Firstly, to become a dentist in the UK, you need to complete a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD) degree that has been approved by the  General Dental Council (GDC) .

This degree normally takes five years to  complete . There are also four-year courses available at some dental schools for students with prior qualifications, such as a degree in Biomedical Sciences.

Secondly, you will need to undertake foundation training, which is supervised training working in an approved practice for one year after graduation.
