Job description
Job scope:
The primary purpose of the Marketing Executive is to deliver marketing campaigns, comms and activity for a variety of Ripe products to the required deadlines to achieve annual targets. The Marketing Executive is responsible for briefing and producing a variety of online and offline collateral, including emails, landing pages, display banners, print ads, campaign materials and partner collateral. You will be responsible for planning and delivering marketing campaigns and communications aimed at capturing email addresses or delivering sales.
Building a deep understanding of the markets and target audiences for our products is essential as you will use that knowledge to ensure all marketing messaging and collateral is aligned with the customer’s needs. You will work closely with the Design Studio on a daily basis, be able to write compelling creative briefs and have a keen eye for assessing creative to ensure all collateral is as strong as possible. The Marketing Executive should be a creative thinker with a flair for writing engaging copy across all channels and proactive with ideas and suggestions.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Responsible for producing creative for multiple channels including emails, display banners, media, landing pages and partner collateral
- Responsible for delivery of the paid media plan to achieve monthly targets
- With the wider team, plan and deliver automated email & SMS programmes across prospect, welcome, in-policy and win-back campaigns, ensuring strong creative and compelling copy to engage with our prospect pots and deliver the monthly targets. Report on performance and proactively make recommendations for continual improvement to ensure this channel is performing
- With the wider team, plan and deliver key policyholder communications, such as refer-a-friend, cross-sell and upsell
- Work closely with the Channel Marketing Manager to execute activity and deliver marketing objectives and targets
- Write clear and precise creative briefs for the Design Studio and IT
- Write compelling and persuasive copy for a variety of marketing comms, including landing pages, emails, media, digital banners, social media activity and partnership collateral
- Support wider business projects by producing and updating customer facing insurance documents
- Deliver marketing collateral for new product launches ahead of launch. Monitor performance closely and then continuously improve activity to ensure that it resonates with new target audiences
- Work closely with the Content Team to ensure all marketing campaigns are supported by great educational content
- Keep up to date with Marketing developments and introduce if benefit Ripe

Experience Requirements
Essential;
- Experience of working as a Marketing Executive in an in-house B2C or agency e-commerce environment
- Experience of planning and delivering email marketing campaigns, both broadcast and automated
- Experience of producing conversion optimised landing pages
- Excellent creative and copywriting and assessment skills
- Able to write compelling and single-minded propositions which pass the ‘so what’ factor for every piece of creative
- Proven experience of consistently meeting targets and deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent command of English language – grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in presenting to key stakeholders
- Able to work on own initiative and develop own reports and briefs
- Able to manage competing deadlines and work with other departments (IT, Product, Design, Call Centre) to deliver projects to agreed deadlines
- Ability to manage the demands of different stakeholders (Management team, IT, Call Centre)
- Experience of producing reports and presentations for Senior Management
Desirable;
- Experience of working in an e-commerce role in financial services
- Good understanding of the marketing challenges faced by medium sized e-commerce companies
Technology Requirements
Essential;
- Experience of working with various Office products e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc
- Experience of working with CRM systems
- Experience of building HTML emails
- Experience of working with various software tools e.g. Google Analytics, Email Service Provider (Adestra) etc.
Desirable;
- Experience of working with various software tools e.g. Float, Unbounce etc
- Experience of working with Marketing automation tools
Education:
Essential
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including Maths and English
- 3 A levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above

- A degree in an appropriate discipline
