As our new country HR Manager, you will lead the HR agenda and provide an best in class HR service to support our business. You will implement global HR strategy in collaboration with the Regional HR Director of North Europe & Russia.

As our new country HR Manager, you will lead the HR agenda and provide an best in class HR service to support our business. You will implement global HR strategy in collaboration with the Regional HR Director of North Europe & Russia.

You will be a key player uniting the employees in UK & Ireland across the locations, ensuring a company culture driving engagement to an entrepreneurial, innovative great place to work.
You will support managers and be overall responsible for implementing HR processes, procedures and compliance to laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.

Marel operates in multiple locations in UK & Ireland with 245 employees. Our high-tech production facility in Colchester (140) and offices of diverse specialists in Birmingham, Ellesmere Port , Dublin and Belfast. Based in Colchester or Birmingham (3 days per week on each site), you will divide your efforts to all our employees and be present in the different location as needed, in line with Marel's flexible working policy.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a practical, action oriented professional with excellent leadership skills, who can translate Corporate policy to functional procedures. The HR Manager promotes effective performance through collaboration, strategic thinking, communication, motivation, and project management. The individual must possess the following skills:

• A representative, inspiring and motivating personality, able to connect with employees at all levels
• Strong customer service focus and highly responsive personality
• Supportive team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment; ability to diffuse a tense situation
• Applies solid judgment ensuring integrity, compliance, and confidentiality
• Strong interest in innovative HR solutions and process improvement
• Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements.
• Change management skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR Management or a related field
• Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization
• Travel to all domestic and some international sites is required
