Job description
Role information:
Act as the project's single point of authority and accountability for the CS&A engineering discipline
-Dependent on project scope, lead a multi-disciplined engineering team reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with the clients responsible engineering team.
-Responsible for the development key CS&A design deliverables
-Checking and Approval of calculations
-Ensure that design deliverables are of a high standard and compliant with relevant standards, regulations and customer specific standards.
-Ensuring that design consultants and sub-contractors deploy suitably qualified and experienced personnel.
-Production of documentation that is technically accurate, grammatically correct, correctly formatted and professionally presented
-Preparing and reviewing quality plans for multi or single discipline work packages
-Ensure work delivered is within the defined scope and completed to time and budget.
-Manage resolutions to technical issues and ensure necessary change control is implemented and address commercial impacts.
-Ensure designs are compliant with CDM regulations and have designer responsibility under CDM
-Present CS&A engineering designs to clients and key stakeholders who may be discipline experts or non-discipline related.
-Present technical solutions at design reviews and HAZOPs
-Production and checking of safety related documents such as Hazard Management Strategy and Engineering Substantiation / Justifications Report.
-Develop estimates, define deliverables, clarify scope/exclusions and develop programme logic at bid / tender stages.
-Mentor a team of engineers/designers to improve their own skill sets and enhance the company's capabilities
-Develop and manage/maintain good working relationships with key counterparts in client or partner organisations
