Position: Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

Location: Pershore, Worcestershire

Job Type: Permanent

Working for a company who are renowned for providing high quality and innovative engineering products within the mining, construction, recycling, and agricultural machinery industries.

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role you will be responsible for establishing, implementing and overseeing all safe working practices across two manufacturing sites. Also acting as a champion for developing internal processes to oversee ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and develop an Occupational Health and Safety Management System that would comply with the requirements of ISO45001.

Other responsibilities include:

• Management of Compliance procedures including identification, reviewing updates and ensuring adequate actions are taken to comply with all relevant requirements
• Ownership and continual development of Risk Assessments, COSHH management, Environmental Permitting, Incident Control and Emergency Preparedness procedures
• Acting as a leader and mentor at all levels of the business to inspire a positive HSE culture gaining buy in for new initiatives and encouraging participation in such activities.

Experience or Qualifications –

• NEBOSH Qualified or equivalent.
• A developed understanding of lean six sigma principles (green belt qualification advantageous)
• Experience of developing or managing ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018 management systems
• A drive to reduce the environmental impact of the business and to develop the team around you to help implement and maintain the required changes

Candidates who currently are a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, HSE Manager, EHS Manager and Senior Health and Safety Engineer would be suitable for this position.
