Job description

Hunters 4 Staff are pleased to be recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of our client based in the Long Lawford area of Rugby, CV23.

The Management Accountant position has been created to facilitate the ongoing expansion of 8 Revenue Generating units across 3 Companies, encompassing operational financial management responsibilities and offering essential support to the Financial Controller.

Duties

These are an example of the duties that you will be required to do, but will not be limited to:

- Preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reporting in accordance with Group monthly timetable
- Prepare and review month end journals and co-ordinate the running of the month end close process on the accounting system.
- Investigation and explanation of account variances to budget and expectations
- Balance sheet reconciliations performed on a monthly basis with reconciling items fully investigated and resolved on a timely basis.
- Preparation of 13-week cash-flow forecasts and weekly cashflow variances
- Oversee the integrity of sales and purchase ledgers and processing of sales and purchase invoices and assist with queries as required.
- Prepare Aged Debtor Reporting and supervise Credit Control, focussing on areas of risk.
- Reconcile debtor’s ledger and submit reports to FACFLOW to ensure funds are made available for drawdown on a timely basis.
- Supervision of payroll preparation (carried out by the Accounts Assistant), liaison with payroll bureau, review of payroll reports and resolution of queries across all entities.
- To facilitate the financial planning process in conjunction with the Financial Controller and SMT to ensure the timely preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare and update financial pricing models to aid contract discussions between the Financial Controller, SMT and customers.
- Quarterly VAT reporting and reconciliations

Requirements

Working towards / Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
Strong analytical and logic problem solving skills.
Excellent Excel skills and the ability to manipulate significant amounts of data.

Salary: £33,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
