About The Role
Morrison Water Services is recruiting for a General Foreman to work on our Caledonia Water Alliance contract, working on projects across the East Coast of Scotland
Caledonia Water (CWA) is a joint venture alliance between Aecom and Morrison Water Services (MWS), supporting the delivery of Scottish water’s SR21 Capital Investment Programme.
We are responsible for the delivery of a pan Scotland £700M water and wastewater infrastructure programme over a 6-year alliance framework. The Caledonia Water Alliance will successfully and safely work with Scottish Water to jointly deliver SR21, a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland capital investment programme.
As the General Foreman, along with the support of your team, you will ensure quality, Health & Safety and compliance standards are met, in line with Scottish Water’s established specifications and procedures.
As the General Foreman your duties and responsibilities will be:
- Site-based health, safety and environmental management and leadership to drive the highest standards
- Delivery of the Project to the agreed time, cost and quality requirements
- Input to the look-a-head program, ensuring activities are effectively managed & completed
- Assist with change management during project lifecycle
- Implement mitigation plans for identified risks
- Supervision of the direct labour force and site-based subcontracts
- Conduct and record site specific inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
- Assist with management of customers impacted by the works
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
You will need experience in water industry civil engineering works – large diameter pipelaying, streetworks, deep excavations, temporary works, shafts & RC structures
Do you have experience of managing the development of the allocated members of the team?
If you have a Construction Management qualification this would be preferable
A full driving licence is required and willingess to travel throughout East Coast of Scotland
Do you have the following qualifications?
- SMSTS
- NRSWA Supervisor
- DOMS Network Qualifications – EUSR
- CSCS gold card
- Confined space - medium risk
- First Aid
