Axon Moore are delighted to be working with a well-established manufacturing business, based in Warrington who are on the lookout for a Finance Analyst to join their team!
This fantastic opportunity is perfect for a candidate who is looking to gain excellent exposure from a talented and high calibre Senior Finance Business Partner. This role is varied and exciting which will include business partnering, providing financial support, analysis, and insight to support key business decisions.
Your duties will include:-
• Support the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and outlooks for the business, understanding movements between current and previous trends, identifying any potential future risks as well as opportunities.
• Supporting preparation of management accounts and cost centre reports.
• Point of contact and key business partner for all Inventory (P&L and Balance Sheet) related month end closing activities.
• Understand contract variances, highlighting any underlying trends.
• Ownership of XPO Warehouse & Transport accruals and allocations ensuring that these are fully reconciled each month and that ageing of accrual balance is appropriate, understood and differences resolved.
• Provide advice & support to cost centre managers on understanding cost variances across the business and drive improved cost efficiency.
• Continually strive to make improvements in finance and wider business processes through automation, simplification, better insight or improved financial control.
• Undertake specific finance or business projects working alongside other functions as required.
To be considered for this role you will have experience working within a finance role, that has given you exposure to budgets and forecasting and P&L, and will also have the following:-
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build cross functional (non-finance) relationships
• Must be numerate and analytical, with ability to present complex information concisely
• Highly IT (advanced Excel) and ERP literate
• High level of autonomy working proactively & independently
• Capable of working at pace and under pressure, able to manage and prioritise to deadlines
• Highly motivated, commercially minded individual with can do attitude
• Must be a team player and values driven
• High levels of quality and accuracy in aspects of work
• Studying towards CIMA/ACCA qualification
• Ideally hold a finance degree
This is an outstanding opportunity that will offer progression along the way, therefore as well as a salary of between £35,000-£40,000 DOE, the role is also offering Study Support towards CIMA/ACCA qualification.
