Job description
We are working with an International Property and Construction Consultancy who have ambitious plans for the next 18 months. As part of this plan they are looking to bring in an Associate Director, who, if the right person, will have the opportunity to take the reins of the London Team. Whilst the title within this business is Associate Director, the role, responsibilities and package reflect that of a Director in the mainstream.
The business have a strong foot hold in the commercial sector covering most areas including offices, logistics, industrial, mixed use, life sciences, retail, hospitality, infrastructure, commercial residential to name a few. They are Building Surveyors and do surveys, monitoring, dispute resolution and dilapidations, but the majority of what they do is smaller scale project management – from around GBP50K up to GBP60/GBP70m. Some larger projects on the Monitoring side of things. The company has gone through a period of growth, they have paused this for the past few months whilst they consolidated the business and acquired a couple of smaller businesses to add to their expertise, and are now ready to jump forward again with this appointment. There is a drive towards business development and project delivery so you will need to be someone who is confident to run with both. They are a team of 13 and as the team grows you will be an integral part of the growth and restructure. You will have the opportunity to work across the business to identify other opportunities and have a great working environment. Our client has a work hard ethos but with a relaxed informal culture. Often coming together in social situations, whether that's a lunch catch up in the communal areas, or monthly/quarterly events, or a quick drink on a Thursday when the drinks trolley comes around. They often have clients using the office and encourage client interface. Expectations are that you will be in the office/on–site 3 days a week but equally if you want to be in 5 days a week that's fine too.
