Job description
Kinetic recruitment are looking to recruit a Material Planner for one of our clients based in Daventry. This role is to cover leave of absence and is a hybrid position. Candidates will work on site at least 2 days per week.
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday
- Starts between 7am and 9am
- Finish between 3pm and 5pm
- 37.5 hours per week
The right candidate will be required to work fixed hours on certain days.
£12.62 per hour
The role
- Liaise with suppliers to gain parts ETAs and availability
- Communicate with supervisors and management to prevent and resolve problems
- Establish and uphold planning parameters that align with the business environment.
- Create an inventory profile for all parts
- Make sure that Oracle tools are used appropriately to address all workbench exceptions within the allowed time frames.
- Utilisation of measurement tools to assess inventory/supply base efficiency.
- Maintenance of Oracle safety stock levels as dictated by the business.
- Oversee the procedure for parts experiencing deviation.
- Manage the process for parts with shipping notes
- Keep all programmes up to date with suppliers including inventory, on time delivery, lead times, batch sizes etc.
- Work to minimise discrepant material arriving at the warehouse
- Oversea the allocation of supply between departments
- Liaise with goods receiving & warehouse re supply of urgent parts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for liaising with the supplier and addressing any necessary supplier improvements.
- Assist in the transition of supplier resources during phase-in/phase-out.
To be successful within the position Material Planner you will require;
- Previous planning experience
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience with Excel
- IT Literate (MS Office)
- Excellent organisational skills
- Previous experience within a logistic/Material back ground is a plus
- Knowledge on MRP systems is a plus
- Oracle experience not required (bonus)
