To fit, operate and maintain On Track Machines (OTM) in a safe manner, in accordance with the Competency Based Standards for Fitters, Operators and Maintainers, and in accordance with the Colas Rail Railway Safety Case. Full Training for all aspects of the role will be given to the successful candidate.
Weekend, Christmas & Night work will all be included in the shift pattern. Some working away from home will be required (company will facilitate).
Job depending on passing relevant Railway Standard Medicals, full Job Description will be given at interview.
This role would suit candidates with an engineering background, be it electrical, mechanical, hydraulic or all, looking to further their career in the Rail industry. All Rail specific training will be provided for the successful candidate. Job use van and fuel card will also be provided by Colas Rail UK. Applicants will have to have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work alone or as part of a team and a can do attitude when faced with solving problems. Lodging away from home will be required.
