We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Own Label Sourcing team as an Assistant Sourcing Manager supporting global and regional strategic sourcing activities within the Own Brand spend responsibility. Accountability to manage the own brand beauty categories and /or supporting on other categories within the own brand portfolio as required to deliver our transformational plan.
The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of appropriate sourcing strategies to deliver the category strategies and spend within the area of responsibility.
- Execute the sourcing strategy, including tendering, analysis, selection of and negotiations with suppliers for existing and new product development within the category.
- Develop and follow supply market knowledge and insight eg suppliers, price trends, cost drivers, commodity tracking to aid a deep understanding of product costs to identify and deliver cost benefits.
- Identify and assess suppliers for suitability of assigned portfolios, onboard as appropriate in accordance with H&B onboarding process.
- Develop long term relationships with suppliers and undertake supplier performance management.
- Ensure that all administration relating to supply agreements, commercial terms and conditions, pricing information, cost prices, product specifications and supplier details are accurately maintained, and all account and invoice queries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner
- Effective risk management and communication to stakeholders to ensure a positive resolution to all project risks.
- You will be responsible for identifying both opportunities and threats in the market and implementing accelerated plans to maximise benefit or mitigating plans accordingly.
- To develop an in-depth knowledge of the customer and end to end supply chain to understand what the most appropriate levers are to maximise business performance. The role will also be expected to build and maintain relationships with internal cross functional teams to ensure a collaborative working model that supports all markets where our products are distributed.
Location:
The company has a Hub in Nuneaton and we typically expect colleagues to spend at least one to two days each week in the office. There may also be occasional travel to other locations. We're a global, digitally enabled business and we expect our colleagues to be self-driven and to determine the most appropriate place to work each day to meet the requirements of the role, achieve their best performance and optimum output.

Technical Skills
- Previous sourcing and procurement experience - preferrable in own label or manufacturing environment but not essential.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time in full.
- Proven ability to manage risk, priorities, and overall timings for complex projects.
- A skilled negotiator
- Ability to demonstrate use of data analysis, along with good level of excel skills essential.
