Financial Controller / Speke / Salary GBP60,000 – GBP65,000
We have a great opportunity for an ambitious Financial Controller to join our clients growing finance team based in Speke. Our client is a highly successful and established group, with a fantastic reputation within their sector. Due to on–going growth and expansion, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a hands–on Financial Controller to join their team.
Reporting directly into an impressive and commercial Finance Director, you will be supported in this role to continue developing your skill set within this growing organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for managing an experienced Finance team including transactional staff and assistant accountants.
- You will be hands on in this role, responsible for supporting, overseeing and preparing month–end accounts.
- In this high–volume environment, you will play a lead role in overseeing and sense checking processes to ensure deadlines are met.
- Management accounts preparation with variance analysis and a detailed summary
- We are looking for someone who will be hands on and curious to understand the business and the meaning behind the numbers.
- Investigate and understand variances to budget, to provide a detailed and accurate commentary to management.
- Refine and prepare more detailed management reports including weekly cashflow and MI
- Manage the invoice discounting process
- There is lots of scope for you to add–value and impact in this role, and we are looking for candidates who are keen to support the improvement and quality of financial reports to Group Finance and Investors
Key skills:
- Fully Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Previous team management experience
- Able to demonstrate where you have improved financial reporting or reported to PE/ Investors in the past.
- Invoice discounting experience.
- Personable, dynamic and passionate about understanding the business and adding value – commercially minded.
- Strong Excel and ERP system experience, Navision is desirable.
This role can offer flexible working (up to 2 days WFH) after a successful settling in period. Hours 8.30–5pm (full time 37.5 hours a week), 25 days holiday (+ bank holiday + birthday off), company pension scheme, annual company bonus and more!
