Would you like to join a busy team of data specialists providing data services to the organisation and partners using the latest technology.
The team is responsible for providing an enterprise modern hybrid data platform. The platform provides report authors and analysts with access to centrally managed data for strategic reporting and analytics to support data led, evidence based decision making.
The Senior Data Engineer Role:
- Provide technical leadership for the design and build of ETL (extract, transform, load) optimised scripts and code to load and stage data ready for use by Report Authors and Data Analysts.
- Build, monitor and maintain data solutions to ensure they remain operational and continue to meet customer requirements.
- Draft and maintain operational documentation for data solutions.
- Use project planning techniques to develop implementation plans and schedules to deliver allocated projects eg. approved upgrades and modifications to services.
- Keeps abreast of developments related to Data Services, recommending and implementing the use of new processes and tools to improve performance.
- Work closely with customers to ensure that data solutions meet business requirements.
- Plan and deliver allocated work packages according to agreed timescales and to the quality standard required.
The Senior Data Engineer Need:
- Previous Data Engineer experience
- Advanced SQL, ETL programming and experience using the Microsoft BI stack are essential.
- Significant experience developing and maintaining enterprise data solutions
- MS Visual Studio
- SQL Server
- Microsoft BI – SSIS, SSAS, SSRS
- Azure - ADLS, Databricks, SQL, Synapse, Data Factory
- MS Power Bi
- MS Office
