We are seeking an amazing, dynamic and versatile Finance Manager for a key role at Whitefriars School.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong financial and technical experience and who is happy to role their sleeves up, to join our fantastic friendly team.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this key position is responsible for running the finance function of one of our schools including day to day effective financial management of the academy financial functions to ensure that all services provided to support teaching and learning are of high quality, conform to legislation and represent value for money.
The role will involve:
· Day to day operation of the academy’s finances including all aspects of income and expenditure
· Timely production of monthly management accounts as well as budget forecasts
· Liaison with budget holders and your opposite number in our other school
· Hands-on management of the academy’s finance assistants
As well as having the appropriate finance, budget management and accounting experience, the ideal candidate will have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and be a strong team player. They will also be flexible, self-motivated, able to use their own initiative and have excellent time management and problem-solving skills. A recognised finance or accounts qualification is desirable although qualification by experience is equally acceptable. Previous Academy experience and a strong background in IRIS Financials (formerly PSF) preferred
