CONSULTANT CHRONIC PAIN - MANCHESTER

We have been appointed by an NHS Trust in Manchester to help them recruit a Consultant in Chronic Pain on either a Substantive appointment or 12 month NHS FT Locum Consultant.

Trust Information
Our client is an NHS Trust based in Manchester which serves a community of around 300,000 people and provides Anaesthetic services on a single site for General Surgery, Vascular, Orthopaedic, ENT and Oral Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology as well as Accident & Emergency, the Intensive Care Unit and the Pscychiatric Department (for ECT's). There is major anaesthetic involvement in the Intensive Care Unit.

The Critical Care Unit is a 9 bedded facility including 6 level III and 3 Level II (surgical HDU beds), though beds are used flexibly. It is a modern facility with state of the art monitoring and capacity for cardiac output monitoring (LidCo and ODM(, invasive monitoring and haemofiltration (using Prismaflux machines) and also has a high frequency oscillator for use in severe hypoxaemia.

- Consultant Chronic Pain (substantive or 12 month NHS Fixed Term)
- Specialty Doctor Anaesthetist, who can do ITU/ICU, General Anaesthetics (including on-calls)
