Project Surveyor / Building Surveyor

Are you a skilled Project/ Building Surveyor seeking an exciting opportunity?

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join an in-house surveying team within our esteemed Client’s Estates Department.

As a Project/ Building Surveyor, you'll play a crucial role in delivering top-notch building surveying services alongside our dynamic team of professionals, covering a diverse range of responsibilities including Buildings, Services Engineers, and CAD Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Asset Managers, in-house solicitors, and Property Managers to execute various works such as strip outs, white boxing, alterations, defect diagnosis and repair, oversight of tenant’s proposals, and more.
- Prepare feasibilities reports to furnish Asset Managers with essential insights for decision-making on deal viability.
- Manage Pre and Post Design and Contract Administration.
- Liaise with and oversee third-party specialists including Building Control, Planning, etc.
- Conduct planned maintenance reports across the portfolio per quarter.
- Ensure effective communication and implementation of advice and processes.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to CDM Regulations.
- Act as Principal Designer.
- Develop financial plans aligned with asset/property manager objectives.
- Establish control systems to ensure compliance with statutory, policy, and contractual commitments.
- Facilitate effective business communication through various channels including meetings, briefings, consultations, correspondence, and reports.

Person Specification:

- Strong understanding of Building Surveying disciplines.
- Ability to undertake professional work and Contract Administration confidently.
- Proficiency in Health, Safety & Compliance management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in developing briefs, scopes of work, feasibility, tender processes, and project management.
- Pragmatic and business-focused 'hands-on' approach to work.

Qualifications / Training:

- Professional qualifications preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of Database (Horizon / Sharepoint / OneDrive) is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office suite and computer resources.
- Full UK driving license.
