Job description
This is a brand-new position for a well-established organisation dedicated to helping individuals with mental health support needs reintegrate back into society.
You will be managing a team of 9 dedicated Employment Specialists whose goal is to help individuals with mental health support needs to find paid or voluntary employment, or if they’re already employed, retain their employment when they’re struggling and advise employers about mental health in the workplace.
These are full-time, permanent positions from Monday to Friday with a hybrid work setup – 2-3 days at outreach locations and NHS hubs, and home-based work (subject to service needs).
Please note: we have 2 x roles available – 1 x for Bedford and 1 x for Leighton Buzzard (the team of 9 Employment Specialists will be split accordingly. Please also note that travels to Bedford and Leighton Buzzard are required depending on service needs)
Our client is a mental health employment service working to the recovery model, they provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health. Recovery can look and feel very different to each one of us. But they also know that the right support is provided, at the right time, they can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in.
As a Senior Employment Specialist, you’ll also work closely with individuals in their recovery journey. And you will also be responsible for staff supervision, KPI’s, appraisals, and staff recruitment (please note that these are not an exhaustive list of your duties).
Please note that the salary for this role is: £28,863 ( including the location allowance of £350).
