The successful candidate will be using an EPOS till system taking payments and making sure the till balances at the end of the day. They will be spending time away from the till, filling shelves, checking stock and assisting the Shop Floor Supervisor to provide an excellent shopping experience for all customers..

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to all customers by listening and responding to customer queries in a confident and professional manner.
• Report customer issues to line managers.
• Ensure shopping baskets and carrier bags are clean and placed in right places.
• Create customer awareness about current offers and promotions.
• Handling merchandise, returns and exchanges.
• Use EPOS till system.
• Lottery.
• PayPoint.
• Track transactions on balance sheets.
• Manage all duties required within the till area.
• Any reasonable duty required by the supervisor.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Great communication skills.
• Ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in a customer facing role.

The Employer is: COSTCUTTER CATHEDRAL ROAD Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
