About the role
You will lead on delivering projects and initiatives in the field of Tesco Technical Standards and Audits (S&A) for the areas of Home, Clothing and Grocery Non Food (collectively known as Non-Food). Lead on the delivery of high quality audits under our second party global audit programme, supporting the operational delivery of the audit programme.
You will be responsible for
Lead on Non Food projects & initiatives in accordance with the business priorities in the field of technical standards and audits, these may include but are not limited to:
- Content production (and support with delivery) of the training material required for Technical audit programme (standards, modules etc) for Audit Service Providers (ASP's), Suppliers and Tesco colleagues
- Lead innovation and development projects that evolve and drive the Standards & Audits programme, ensuring engagement with colleagues across the group
- Operational delivery
- Manage documentation updates across the wider S&A or Non Food audit programme
- Based on feedback, industry knowledge & ongoing learnings, continuously improve our Standards, Requirements, Guidance & training material for suppliers, colleagues and ASPs.
Ensure the audits performed are of the highest quality though monitoring and evaluating 2nd party auditor performance and their audit reports:
- Review auditor activity / audit reports and provide performance feedback to the programme operational lead
- Ensure approved auditor list and competency matrices are maintained with each ASP
- Provide evidence for the sanction process of any auditors, as appropriate
- Manage any shadow audit with the parties involved
- Identify opportunities for efficiency in approved auditor management
- Support with the onboarding of any new audit service providers or auditors
You will need
Experience:
- Degree level or equivalent qualification in science/textile/technology subject
- Extensive experience in non food industry
- Managing supplier relationships
- Auditing principles - ideally Lead Auditor risk assessment and risk management
Operational Skills:
- Communication - written and verbal
- Organisational and project management
- Proficient IT skills (MS Office and Sharepoint)
- Stakeholder relationship
- Good commercial awareness
- Technical auditing skills
- Analytical skills
- Multi tasking and deadline efficiency
