Job description

This product design role is a unique opportunity to work on the systems that power our customer support experience. You’ll play a central role in improving the user experience of our internal tooling. As a collective, the Product Development Team is responsible for producing innovative and inclusive products that delight and improve the day-to-day lives for our internal users and customers. You’ll bring your specific creative intelligence and skills to a cross-functional squad. Working collaboratively as a high-performing contributor with your Product Owner, Lead Product Designer, Engineers, Service Designer, User Researcher, Lead UX Copywriter and Business Analyst. You’ll be working in a strategic function of the business with lots of scope to take ownership and move quickly. You’ll also play a vital part of the wider Product Development Team, championing a user-centric approach and developing solutions to help shape the future our products. The Product Designer reports to the Lead Product Designer in Internal Systems. You’ll also form part of the growing Experience Design Team of 20+ passionate Product Designers, Service Designers and User Researchers. Key Responsibilities: Work alongside the Product Owner to define and deliver innovative, user-centric solutions, to complex business problems. Collaborate with User Researchers and Services Designers, to ensure our customers and internal users are at the heart of the experience. Map detailed user flows and consider the wider impact your work has on the landscape of tooling within Internal Systems. Support the Lead Product Designer in improving our end-to-end design process, within your team and Internal Systems as a whole. Proactively seek continuous product improvement by testing and measuring the impact of your solutions. Form a systematic approach user interface design by working alongside Product Designers and Engineers, to deliver functional interfaces that scale with the needs of the business. We are looking for someone who: Has extensive experience as a Product Designer in an Agile product development environment, ideally in a B2B capacity. Can provide a portfolio of impactful user-centric case studies, that demonstrates a comprehensive UX approach including discovery, ideation, testing and UI delivery. Understands that not all problems can be solved through beautiful interfaces alone and is passionate about designing UI that focuses on efficiency, accessibility and usability. Is a natural problem solver who thrives solving complex user problems. Is proactive in utilising quantitative and qualitative user research; by yourself or with User Researchers. Demonstrates excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence business leaders. Has great facilitation skills, both in the planning and execution of strategic workshops. Has experience informing and improving design processes within organisations. Cultivates a growth mindset through actively seeking and giving constructive feedback.
