The service is a newly developed, specialist supported accommodation service for seven adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. The service will provide 24 hour support and will comprises of seven newly built one bedroomed apartments. The housing provider has gone to great lengths to ensure that the accommodation is of a high specification to fully support individuals needs. Our new service in Thatto Heath, Heathside, St Helens has excellent local commuter routes, public transport access and community services, close to shops and local amenities. You would be part of a brand new team providing person centred care and support to people living in their own bespoke apartments in St Helens. The individuals will have diverse needs which include, learning disabilities, and some behaviours that challenge. All new starters will receive appropriate training, supervision mentoring. The role involves supporting individuals with their tenancies, daily living skills and accessing a wide range of community support. You will support people to plan their days and achieve goals and individual aspirations. Each day is different undertaking the role of a support worker. A support worker supports individuals to achieve their personal goals no matter how big or small. It is assisting individuals to live a full and worthwhile life. It is about promoting choice, encouraging healthy lifestyles, cooking nice meals, supporting individual to be valued members of the community, supporting to maintain good heath, supporting to engage with family. A support worker is really an amazing opportunity to assist an individual to live the best life possible.
