Position: Junior Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Malvern
Salary: 25 - 30k Depending on Experience
About the Role: Are you a motivated individual with a passion for engineering looking to kickstart your career in manufacturing? We are recruiting for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join an established company in Malvern. In this role, you will receive comprehensive training and mentorship while playing a pivotal part in ensuring the efficient manufacturing and testing of our products to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing the Engineering Change process, collaborating closely with design and operations teams.
Learn to maintain and update the ERP system to ensure accuracy of technical and manufacturing data.
Provide support for manufacturing processes, including updating work Instructions and contributing to continuous improvement projects.
Gain experience in analysing quality incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
Learn to utilise 3D CAD software to ensure accuracy of manufacturing drawings.
Assist in monitoring and improving operational systems such as kanban.
Key Skills Required: A strong interest in pursuing a career in manufacturing engineering.
Basic IT skills and willingness to learn ERP systems, preferably SAP.
A commitment to quality and a desire to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a logical approach to tasks.
A technical qualification or relevant coursework in engineering.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Enthusiasm for learning and a strong work ethic.
Desirable: Familiarity with 3D CAD software would be advantageous.
Interest in lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
Knowledge of electronic assembly processes would be beneficial.
