Job Type: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 40 Hours
The Client:
Our client is a reputable childcare provider, offering care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years in secure and nurturing environment.
The Role:
As a Nursery Assistant , you will undertake daily nursery duties to maintain high care and education standards while supporting colleagues and fostering collaborative partnerships.
Ideally, they are looking for candidates in the age groups 18-20 years, 21-22 years, and above 21.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with parents, addressing special requirements for children's well-being.
- Contribute to a diverse curriculum supporting physical, emotional, and social development.
- Support planning, observation, and assessment procedures for children's progress.
- Maintain individual child records, ensuring confidentiality and sharing information as needed.
- Contributing to a positive learning environment for children.
- Assist students and volunteers, aiding in their training needs.
- Adhere to child protection, health and safety, security, and confidentiality policies.
Requirements:
- Previously worked as a Nursery Assistant or in a similar role.
- Good general education (e.g., NVQ level 11 or above) with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
- Possess Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and food hygiene certification or willingness to obtain.
- Willingness to acquire knowledge of child protection, health, safety, security, equal opportunities, and confidentiality policies.
- Ability to relate well to both children and adults, responding effectively.
Shifts:
- 7:30am - 4:30pm
- 8:30am - 5:30pm
- 9:00am - 6:00pm
- 8:00am - 5:00pm
