Job description
A manufacturer of specialist machinery is currently recruiting a Controls Engineer to join the team. You will be involved in the design, development and implementation of industrial control solutions software and candidates are sought with experience in all aspects of automation control and PLC programming gained within the complex machinery sector.
Commutable from: Redditch, Evesham, Stratford upon Avon, Leamington Spa. Birmingham, Worcester.
Salary: Up to £ 30,000 - £ 45,000 p.a. + benefits
Suitable for: Controls Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Senior Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, Controls and Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer, SCADA.
The Role
Working for a recognised and leading manufacturer of specialist machinery you will play a key role within the engineering team and be responsible for the design, development, implementation and commissioning of control systems software.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, development, implementation, testing and commissioning of control systems software (PLC/HMI).
Development and implementation of the documentation associated with control systems.
Assist customers and Service Engineers with electrical / control problems at office, remotely or onsite.
Analysing and interpreting data.
Plan and manage projects in order to ensure completed on time.
Working with team of engineers to find innovative solutions.
Liaise with other departments to allow effective and smooth running of the business.
The Person
Experience in motion control programming.
Experience of Siemens S7 PLC control system required, ideally with knowledge of Allen Bradley or other PLCs.
Competent in programming in structured text and ladder logic
Proven track record in Engineering leadership
Ability to develop and implement standard engineering practises.
Competent in use of all MS Office suite
A good communicator, able to liaise and communicate cross functionally across all departments.
Preferably qualified to HND or degree level in a relevant engineering discipline.
Full UK Driving Licence
