- £70,000 per annum plus benefits (depending on experience) Here at Serco, we partner with governments to provide public services across Defence, Justice & Immigration, Transport, Health, and Citizen Services. We currently have an opportunity for a Lead M365 Developer to join our Technology team. As our Lead M365 Developer, you will participate in all aspects of Agile software development, the support for Azure, M365 solutions and services (primarily SharePoint Online and the Power Platform). You will also liaise with key business stakeholders to ensure that the solutions meet the needs of the customer. This role will involve working with new Microsoft AI platforms such as OpenAI and Copilot, experience within these areas would be advantageous but not essential.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who can apply their knowledge and technical expertise to the delivery of Azure and M365 solutions in a fast-paced environment, where the rate of change and requirement for new solutions is high. You will need significant skill and experience in relevant Microsoft technologies and will bring technical expertise and achievement focus to the delivery team on a day-to-day basis. You will adopt and support a team-based approach, proactively sharing ideas and expertise whilst supporting other within the team.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

- Undertake horizon scanning, understanding the Microsoft Roadmap to identify risks and opportunities, particularly emerging in the AI space.
- Participate in team meetings, Agile ceremonies, project meetings, customer meetings and departmental or corporate meetings and sessions.
- Tale part in team initiative to improve the internal processes, capability and service offering of the DevOps team.
- Contribute to regular peer reviews and deliver continuous improvement of service delivery for implemented M365 solutions.
- Undertake regular knowledge Sharing and Communicate Technical Learning Points within team and to wider Serco teams and citizen developers.
- Work directly with customers throughout the entire software lifecycle of projects.
- Evaluate user requests for Azure / M365 solutions to determine feasibility and technical requirements, working with external teams to resolve any outstanding queries.
- Design, specify, build, test and implement new or changed M365 solutions.
- Assist Developers in M365 methodology, technical sills, and capability.

What you’ll need to do the role:

- High-level of knowledge around the M365 suite of applications.
- Good understanding of the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Demonstrable expertise with the architecture, design, development, and administration of M365 solutions.
- Experience of undertaking SharePoint Online/M365 BAU activities in an Agile environment utilising Agile principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of deploying solutions between environments.
- General understanding of a Microsoft 365 Multi-Geo environment.
- Experience using Agile toolsets such as ADO/Jira.
- Experience of creating Power BI reports/dashboards/workspaces would be advantageous.
