About the Role
Mundesley Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and enthusiastic paramedic to join our practice, on a full or part time basis, over 4 or 5 days.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Undertaking face to face, telephone, online and video consultations for acute or routine problems either in the practice, or the patients home (including care homes).
- Supporting patients presenting with medical problems including history taking, physical examinations and using clinical decision making skills to formulate a management plan, arrange appropriate investigations and signpost to other health professionals as needed
- Seeing patients with minor illness and minor injuries.
- Carrying out home visits and holistic reviews.
- Carrying out care home ward rounds.
- Referring patients as appropriate to secondary care or signpost to other services as required.
- Working with the whole practice team and wider health care community to develop the paramedic role within general practice.
- Prescribing medication within NHS and practice guidelines.

About the Candidate
If you are an experienced emergency care practitioner (ECP) / paramedic wanting a new challenge, we would love to hear from you. You will have the following skills and experience:
- Be a registered paramedic, with current HCPC registration and have post-registration experience, ideally with some being in primary care.
- Educated to degree/diploma level in paramedic science or equivalent.
- Acquired 5 years or equivalent post registration experience.
- Ideally be an independent prescriber and completed First Contact Practitioner (FCP) training.

Please be aware of the location of Mundesley before you apply for this role. Transport links and access by rural road is poor.
