Finance Business Partner

Full Time, Hybrid role

Permanent

Salary: £39,186 to £45,441 per annum

Position Overview:

As a Finance Business Partner at Hastings Borough Council, you will play a crucial role in providing financial guidance and support to various departments and stakeholders within the organisation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with colleagues across different functions, contributing to strategic decision-making and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources.

Key Responsibilities:

To lead the Service Accountants team in delivering a high qualify, effective and professional Finance Business Partnering service to budget managers and council stakeholders

Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all Budget holders and their teams.

Improve the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance. Providing analysis and delivering insight linking financial reports to business strategies.

The provision of accountancy, budget setting and monitoring and final account services.

Requirements:

ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with demonstrable post qualification experience and development
Proven experience of leading a small team
Extensive experience of accounts closure, budget setting, and monitoring
Knowledge of local government accounting procedures
Experience of using a general ledger system
