Job description
Star Actuarial, on behalf of a leading life insurance and pensions business, is seeking a qualified In-house Pensions Solicitor to help develop a BPA business, providing expert legal counsel on the development of the business and throughout the transaction process.
Interpreting and presenting complex legal considerations and material, you will draft, edit and review legal documentation and processes required in the run up to (and throughout) transactions, including alterations to standard terms and BPA deal contracts.
You will also contribute to the risk management function of the Life and Pensions business from a BPA perspective.
A Certification Function Holder, the successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of UK Defined Benefit Pensions and the BPA market, as well as excellent knowledge of the BPA process, from deal execution to buy-out.
Good knowledge and experience of life assurance and pensions business also essential as is knowledge of DB liability management/de-risking work.
