Job Description
Motor Claims Handler
Salary: £23-30k per annum DOE
Location: Bolton, UK
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday 9 am– 5 pm
The Role
- Act as point of contact for Policyholders and Brokers
- Efficiently deal with allocated claims from the outset to a conclusion (all aspects of third-party vehicle damage as well as third-party property damage claims)
- Conduct investigations by looking into given information.
- Record dates for the next steps including times frames.
- Liaise with different departments to establish liability.
- Speak directly with solicitors, insurers, accident management companies, andthird-party witnesses.
- Identify and refer fraudulent activity and any questionable underwriting.
- Deliver a consistently outstanding level of service.
- Always adhere to company and regulatory policies and guidelines

Role Requirements
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Great negotiation and influencing skills.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills, and the ability to prioritise.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experiencein motor claims insurance.
- Have a good understanding of liability and reserving.
- A minimum of 5 GCSE passes at Grace C or above including English and Maths.
- Strong customer service and computer skills.
